What is the problem with expecting future lawyers to understand that they need to abide by Non-Discrimination laws?
Welcome to Disqus. You are right about the way some on the site throw epithets at others. It really isn't necessary. Most discussions are civil with some sarcasm thrown it. You shouldn't take things too seriously. Take them with a grain of salt. And no matter how you are answered, you always have the choice to keep your part of the discussion civil.
My ex husband and I have a few agree to disagree items. We've got three kids and I think when it comes to our relationship, we both value peace over winning. I no longer feel the need to compromise on some things important to me and I don't feel like I have the right to try to change his mind about anything that's not a kid related big deal.
Until those religious beliefs influence National domestic and foreign policies. Like, for instance it has in those countries that have made elective abortion a crime, or (like Saudi Arabia) they make points of view (like Atheism) a crime if expressed at all.
Attention: "Will the Flying Monkeys proceed to Stand By".
Jesus promised life after death. If you choose to follow him, believe in him and practice what he's taught then you are guaranteed life after death.
Well, at least this is one thing I'll never have to deal with...
God is all about unelected power over the peasants, so it is entirely appropriate that it got mentioned so many times at this event, but it was irritating to listen to. As for the long God is love rant I wonder if the guy is sane. He has the wrong god for a start. Threats of eternal torment of hell just for not believing nonsense is not love.
The woman was caught laundering money for & the American head of a Columbian drug cartel.
Satan doesnt actually do anything wrong, or evil. Not a single thing evil in the world can be attributed to Satan.
I wish Beth would answer.
It's that three strikes baloney the cons insisted on. Some guy in California got life for shoplifting a golf club (after serving time on two previous serious felonies.)
Could you for a moment, consider the "industries for common good" could possibly be corrupted? Do you have the means to consider that?
Here are my viewpoints, even though I'm not a bona fide Christian.
Yes to that. Someone in Psalms.
Depends on the pizza, but actually agree overall.
Everyone here loves to mention that the Epistles didn't give a history of Jesus, but nobody seems to realize that the Epistles were letters of encouragement and instruction written for people who already believed in Jesus, members of the early Church. It wouldn't make sense for Paul to spend his time writing from prison to the churches and try to convince them of something they already believed. Talk about preaching to the choir, lol. It's always important to look at why it was written.
check out the Chris Cuomo interview where she takes cheap shots at him. How about the press briefings where she takes cheap shots and ascribes motives to people in what is supposed to be a professional setting.
I said 'bridge', not "Bridge".
I agree 100%. But if the doctrine calls for it, its to blame. I get atheism has very little.
". If they say atheists are just as good as theists then they are saying why bother with a god belief at all." That's the truth of the whole thing. Why believe in a god at all. God changes nothing.
I'm not sure that the fact they are EEO is to blame.
STC. So has the issue of the religious folks stepping up to the plate and defending their imaginings of their own perception of their own gods, but the religious folks keep on swinging the bat and missing the balls.
Is that upsetting to you?
I was only addressing Christian, Conservative believers in this thread. I understand not all theists are Christian.
Understood; towards the latter half of the he talks about Quantum Mechanics and how things happen one way when they're being observed and then another when they're not (observer affect), and things like that which led 'father of quantum theory'Max Planck to conclude that consciousness is what created matter.
